City Committee Minutes 2024-2028
The governing body of our local Democratic Party in Somerville is the Democratic City Committee, made up of 35 Democrats elected on the ballot from each of the 7 wards every 4 years—currently 217 members as of January 23, 2025. The current members were elected March 5th, 2024 and will serve until April, 2028.

Executive Committee Minutes 2024-2026
Between meetings of the full Democratic City Committee, the City Executive Committee, composed of the 6 City Committee Officers and the Chair of each ward administers the city party. The current term of the 5 City Committee Officers began on April 10, 2024 and will conclude by May, 2026.

The membership of the Somerville Democratic City Committee is composed on the members elected to the 7 Democratic Ward Committees—217 as of January 23, 2025. There are 6 City Committee Officers—a Chair, 2 Vice Chairs, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Diversity Officer elected every 2 years from among the members. A current list of the members and officers of the City Committee as well as of each of the Ward Committees can be found on the right. These records are up to date as of January 2, 2025 and are updated at the beginning of each year, or within 10 days of a change being filled with the Office of Campaign and Political Finance.
